ICICI – Siddartha Mehta Endowment Fund
The ICICI – Siddartha Mehta Festival of Arts is held annually in March. The objectives of this Festival are a) to encourage new or relatively unknown art forms and artists b) to encourage innovation and development within the traditional, classical art forms, including folk/tribal arts c) to encourage artists/art forms from all parts of the country. The programme is normally a two day (weekend) Festival comprising four events.
Adi Marzban Endowment Fund
The Endowment Fund was started to perpetuate the memory of the journalist, playwright, actor and director, Adi Marzban. Its main objectives are the promotion and development of drama featuring generally Adi Marzban’s own plays, and to encourage theatre-related activities by organizing workshops and seminars.
Pu La Deshpande Foundation
An annual festival of Hindustani classical music (vocal and instrumental) held in November each year. Also six experimental plays to be organized in a similar manner. The plays to be selected from those which have won awards at various competitions in the state.
Firdauz H J Taleyarkhan Endowment Fund
Artistic programmes organized by the NCPA for the Firdhauz H J Taleyarkhan Endowment Fund focus on Western classical music.
Jasubhai Foundation
Gujarati music or drama programmes for two days every year, including classical and folk music.
Mariwala Foundation
Support for innovative presentations of traditional Indian music and dance. Programmes and activities are conceived and implemented by the NCPA.
Saroj Jhaveri Foundation
Annual programmes at the NCPA that perpetuate the memory of the late Saroj Jhaveri. The objectives of the Foundation are a) to promote and encourage traditional forms of Indian music and dance including classical, semi-classical and folk music, dance, Gujarati music and literature b) to encourage new or relatively unknown artists c) to encourage artists and art forms from various parts of the country.
