Maruti Patil is a senior disciple of Arvind Parikh, the eminent sitar player of the illustrious
Imdadkhani-Etawah tradition. Besides performing, Maruti Patil has been
actively engaged in music training for many years.
Ghulam Sadiq Khan represents the Rampur Sahaswan tradition of vocal
music. Trained by eminent vocalists like Mushtaq Husain Khan and his son Ishtiaq
Husain Khan, Ghulam Sadiq has a wide repertoire including khayal, tarana,
tappa and other semi-classical genres, and has performed at many international
venues including the UK, Australia, China, Singapore and Saudi Arabia. He
is a top-ranking artiste of the A.I.R. and Doordarshan, and serves at the music
department of the University of Delhi.Prominent amongst several accolades received by Ghulam Sadiq is the Padma
Shri conferred on him in 2005.
